OUR HISTORY SINCE 1932
Los Portales is an event venue near El Paso, TX built in 1932. It is an adobe building with history in the vineyard area of the upper valley of the Rio Grande, along the old route to Mesilla, also known as Don Juan de Oñate route.
Initially it was a women’s club in the 40’s and 50’s, a place of reunions, politics and community center. Later, it became a church for over 20 years. After the church moved out, it was abandoned for many years.
Now it re surges after extensive remodeling, taking into consideration its historical value, the structure of the building and authentic antique value, as a new option for intimate family events, in a rustic and country feel for any event.
We are very conscience and aware that a wedding or quinceñera is a very special and unique moment in lives a family. Our mission is to offer an original and unique moment, full of beautiful and lasting
